The L30 Racing Team maintains the leadership of S1 and S4 classes at the end of the second round of the Italian Supermoto Internationals, held on the Ottobiano Circuit (PV) on 1 May 2022.
In S1 class, Marc Reiner Schmidt is still at the top of the standings, while in the S4 class Alex Ruiz passes his lead to Kevin Vandi; a first position in the championship, which in any case bears the signature of L30 Racing.
S1 CLASS:
In the premier class lined up on the SMX 450 factory 2022 are World Champion Marc Reiner Schmidt and Elia Sammartin, who finish qualifying in first and second position. Schmidt stop the Poleposition chrono with this record: 1.28: 992.
In race 1 Schmidt starts in the lead and in few laps takes off, setting his seal on the first victory of the day.
Elia Sammartin immediately gets behind his teammate and closes in second position.
In race 2 the fastest riders at the start are again Schmidt and Sammartin, authors of a race that replicated what was seen in the opening moto.
Sammartin wins the classification reserved for the Italian riders, while Schmidt dominates in the overall.
S4 CLASS:
Lined up in this class: Kevin Vandi and Lorenzo Papalini. Vandi takes the second place in the qualifying session.
In race 1 Kevin Vandi starts in third place, overtaking an opponent already in the second lap and going to conquer the second position, keeping it until the checkered flag.
Meanwhile Lorenzo Papalini starts inside the top ten, then going to take eighth position, which he will keep for a good part of the race; under the checkered flag Papalini takes an excellent tenth place.
In race 2 Kevin Vandi starts in second place, but in a short time he takes the lead, going on to win the race and overall. Doing so Vandi moved to the top of the championship standings.
Lorenzo Papalini instead, starts in the back and after numerous overtaking he manages to conquer the twentieth place. For Papalini the thirteenth final position at the end of this second round of the championship.
IVAN LAZZARINI: “This second round of the Italian Championship has just ended, for us the perfect weekend with another double victory in S1 for Schmidt and two second places for Sammartin, while in S4 another great performance for Vandi, who conquers the win and the red plate in the championship.
We go home with 2 red plates in S1 and S4, the guys were great!
We thank TM Racing and all the sponsors who contributed to this result.”
