TM MOTO STEELS DR JACK – FINAL #1 ITALIANO JUNIOR – FERMO
The Italian Junior National Finals kicked off at the Fermo track in the Marche region of Italy. Monterosato is part of motocross history and on this occasion too it put all the riders on the track to the test. The rest was done by two days with high temperatures.
Our Brando Rispoli was in the race with his TM 125 with the clear ambition of aiming high and in the time trials on Saturday he immediately made it clear that he could be among the protagonists by snatching a third time in his qualifying group and earning a good position at the starting gate.
On Sunday morning at the start of race one Brando got off to a good start and was immediately in the top five. His progression led him to be second on lap five, not far behind the leader. Unfortunately, after losing contact with the leader in the final laps he was overtaken by one of his rivals and had to settle for third place.
In the second heat he again made a good start, finishing fifth on the first lap and as the minutes passed he increased his pace, recovering as far as third place. When everything seemed ready for another place of honour a small lapse of tension made him lose a couple of positions in the final. With fifth place Brando thus failed to get on the podium despite having the same points as Alvisi who, however, had the best position in the second heat on his side.
In the classification of these 125cc finals Brando is fourth, but on equal points with third, and he is looking at the Ponte a Egola test on 5 and 6 October as an opportunity to get on the podium and perhaps keep the discourse open for the victory of this title. The race will be run on one of the tracks he knows best and he will certainly give his all to give the whole team great satisfaction.
Next commitment for him and the team will be 28 and 29 September with the last GP of the season with both Yago Martinez in MX2 and Brando in EMX125.
BRANDO RISPOLI: ‘It was a weekend where I suffered a bit on one of my favourite tracks. Two starts always in the leading group but a bit of a drop in pace in the last laps in the middle of the lapped riders. We’ll work on it, we’re still fighting for the championship and I’m looking forward to the next one. I am very happy with the feeling with the bike and the work of the team, I thank Mr. Gastone Serafini who was there on Sunday to see me, Massimiliano Costantini, Robin Caldelli, Brian Tiso, my Motoclub Torre della Meloria, Ivano Zanatta and my other sponsors’.
