ELGARI WINS BOTH DAYS

TOP 10 FOR GIORDANO IN THE 125CC

During the weekend of 1-2 June, Spoleto, a picturesque Umbrian town, hosted the third stage of the Italian Enduro Championships, valid as the fifth and sixth round of the 2024 season. The Spoleto Moto Club, with the help of the Track Inspector For the occasion, Mario Rinaldi designed a route worthy of a world championship race that was as spectacular as it was challenging in which our drivers showed tenacity and driving technique to perform well and conquer the top positions.

The race was inaugurated with the Prologue on Friday evening which attracted a large audience in the city centre.
Three technical and demanding special tests to be repeated four times per race day, a 4 km Cross Test, followed by a spectacular and demanding Extreme Test of 1.5 km length and at the end of the lap an Enduro Test, within a forest, 5.5 km long. Both the Enduro Test and the Extreme Test were located in the same place as the 2021 Enduro World Championship with easy access for the public.

Once again Alberto managed to impose himself on both days of the race. On the first day he was unable to get into a good rhythm and despite the positive victory in the 125 the result in the overall classification was a little below expectations. On the second day he started well and during the day he improved his times, finishing with another victory and fourteenth place overall.

Positive weekend also for Gabriele Giordano who closed the second day with a top 10 in the 125 which confirms his growth.
Unfortunately, a weekend to forget for Samuli Boano who had to withdraw on Saturday while he was in fifth position in the junior due to a flare-up of physical pain. On Sunday he didn’t start.

The next appointment for the Assolut d’Italia will be on 28/29 September in Pistoia.
