October 7, 2024

Marc Schmidt is the 2024 world champion.

Marc Schmidt with an incredible race becomes world champion for the fourth consecutive time and also wins the Belgian GP, a good debut in the world championship for Matteo Andreotti.

In qualifying Schmidt sets the best time proving to be the fastest on the Mettet track, remember that the Belgian race is held within one of the most spectacular supermoto races. Nicky Reimer closes with the 13th time and Matteo Andreotti is 17th.

Unfortunately Schmidt made a small mistake in the Super Pole that did not give him the chance to take home the first box on the grid and he had to settle for fourth place.

In race 1 Marc started off very strong and managed to get to second place in a couple of laps, the German rider tried to get back under the leader but decided not to take any risks so as not to make mistakes and take home the points to extend his lead in the championship. Reimer finished 13th, Matteo Andreotti after a difficult start managed to recover to 16th place.

The Fast Race that took place in the late afternoon on Saturday saw once again a great performance by Marc Schmidt, the German rider after a careful start during the first laps was able to settle into second position, Marc thanks to this result was able to raise his arms to the sky and celebrate at the finish line the mathematical conquest of the fourth title. Andreotti with another convincing performance, let’s remember that the young rider of the L30 Racing team is at his first participation in the world championship, was able to finish in 15th place, Reimer is 14th.

The Super Final saw a magnificent performance by Marc Schmidt, the German had only one goal: to win and so it was, Marc took the lead on the second lap and would not let go until the checkered flag. Nicky Reimer with a good performance was 12th and Andreotti was 16th.

Marc Schmidt, thanks to the victory of the last heat, won the Belgian GP and closed his season with a bang with the satisfaction of also winning the Superbikers race.

Ivan Lazzarini: “A perfect weekend, we couldn’t have hoped for better, Marc won the World Championship with one heat to spare and also managed to take home the GP, I’m also happy with Matteo’s performance in his first real international race. I want to thank my entire team who worked so hard to get these results.”
