FIRST PODIUM IN E2 FOR LEO’ LEQUERE
In the picturesque setting of Brioude, France, the seventh and final round of the 2024 FIM EnduroGP World Championship took place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September.
The race, very technical and demanding, put the riders to the test on an authentic French enduro track. The three special tests (cross test, enduro test, extreme test) were repeated three times a day, for a total of nine tests on both Saturday and Sunday. Friday evening was dedicated to the Super Test, which saw a large participation of enthusiastic fans.
On the opening day, Matteo Cavallo finished in fourth position in the E3 class. On the following race day, he immediately started focused and determined, recording excellent overall times in the enduro test and cross test, which allowed him to close the day with a second place. Matteo thus closes the World Championship in third position in the E3 class.
Home race for the French rider Leo Le Quere, who demonstrated his qualities in Briuode and showed off all his tenacity, finishing in sixth place just 0.55 seconds from fifth place on Saturday. On Sunday’s race day Leo fought for the top positions recording excellent times and finished with an excellent third place.
Unfortunately Lorenzo Macoritto is still absent due to the injury in August. His return is scheduled for the Assoluti in Pistoia.
With the final French stage, the curtain falls on the Enduro World Championship, which gives fans an appointment for next season.
